NCSoft Hinting At Guild Wars MMO On PS3
NCSoft is not a stranger to MMOs as they have created quality games such as Guild Wars and City of Heroes. They have stated that the PS3 fits their strategy perfectly.
NCSoft’s CEO stated that the PS3 is the ideal console to develop for as it fits their strategy perfectly with the power of the console, the online set-up, etc.
He stated that the online vision of the PS3 is "The ideal system would be an extremely capable, stable platform, with the best Internet connectivity and greatest freedom of web access and interaction available to the user," he said.
"This combination of access, openness and ability to bring NCsoft to the console market is very attractive. In this case, we felt like Sony fit the bill."
He stated that NCSoft would continue with ongoing support of the PC, but after comments like this it may not be far off to state that something may be in the works for the PS3 in the form of an MMORPG.
He never once mentioned the Xbox 360 or Xbox Live.
